Not sure how you can but, can you be more specific? it's not the actual brakes right? Does it roll normal under no power (coast)?
If it does then, Clutches may be the issue. You may have something inside the cover that is rubbing. Check the nut that holds on the bell.
If nothing is dragging then it could be flattened rollers and a bad torque spring.
Just a couple of things to check.

yes, more detail pls.

A few short list things to check:

1. the brakes CAN and DO stick if you overfill the master cylinder. open the bleeder on the back and squeeze a bit out, see if that helps.

2. dirty/bent/old chain?

3. worn out rear axle bearing?

4. could be "clutch" or other, but I'd doubt that.

I'd take the chain off and see what spins and what doesn't. that would tell you quick if it was bearings or sticking brakes and give you a chance to inspect the chain. if all that was negative, take the CVT cover off and tell us what you see.

oh boy, hope for the best! its a good bet those bearing are gone if the gear box was hard to rotate. it would be better to change out the $20-30 in bearings now, than to wait for total failure which can blow out your tranny gears for around $130-150. that needle bearing on the outside goes first before the ball bearings do on the inside, and its pretty easy to change. might just hit that one.
