lost spark not the plugs, any one know how to test the electrical components, any suggestions. thanks Bill

you can test the coil and stator with a multimeter. you have to swap the cdi to test it. electrical on bikes is a biatch. you can kinda tell by what it was doing before it went dead. if it just shut off its most likly the stator. if it was running on low power could be the cdi and if it was intermitted could be the coil. all of those are could bes and any one of those could be another. fortunatily for me I have had all these problems.

stock carbs with TORS still on it? If so i bet that's your problem...ditch the TORS. Follow the wires on top of the carbs and unplug them at the harness...tape up the end of the harness up under the tank somewhere then cut the wires off at the top of the carbs. Also disconnect the harness plug that is on your throttle (if it's stock).

There's a cheap tors eliminator kit...doesn't cost a dime.you still have all the junk on top of the carbs but no electrical to em..good luck
