22's hit the stock heel guards, about 75% sure of it.

I think you would be fine. I had 22's on mine for a while. I do have an extended swingarm but I think there was more clearance than the difference the swingarm made.

you can run 22's in the rear and 23's up front with no issues...it's a typical desert racing setup for the Z....

22's run fine except for one thing you have to keep in mind. After taking my quad on a high speed run for about two miles there was a nice new groove in the tires. I forgot that the tires will "grow" with speed. Watch a top fuel race car and you will see that standing still the tires are about four feet wide, but at three hundred miles per hour they are about two feet wide. But standing still the tires are about four feet around, at speed the tires are about six feet around. This is what happens to our tires the faster we go. Just keep this in mind so this issue does not happen to you. Hope this helps. Still having fun though. Minndave13:D

Stockboy- I heard that they have one heck of a hill climb event in New Ulm. I lived there for 9 months and didn't know about, but there was a magazine article about it. I would not remove the heel guards what soever. If your foot got caught between the tire and the foot peg something would have to break (that would be your ankle) I have horror stories about this. Run the 22's just stay below 50 mph- Stock z will do 60-65 so this shouldn't be to hard to do. Yes running with no heel guards looks cool but having a cast on your foot for 6 weeks really makes you look like a dork ( besides everyone that you see would ask how you broke your foot then you would have to admit to others your own stupidity- heel guards are there for a reason). Having fun though, Minndave13.:D
