View Full Version : what kind of piston do i have?

I just took down my R motor to put a new piston and rings in it since it was losing compression and now i cant identify what type of piston it is. It says the number 66 on the bottom and reads this on top: 9501e 526m06725 CD

any ideas people:confused:

thats a wiseco piston. size should be 67.25mm bore

thanks guys..now my next question is now i'm going to run the 67.50mm bore piston, but what is the optimal piston to wall clearance for running this piston?

The cleraence should be on the box when you buy the piston.

bore size should be 2.6574" +or- .0002" The piston has .002" clearance built into it.

thats a cr style piston or the 85-86 piston for the trx 250r and its .50 over stock bore
