I have a rev box, stage one hot cam, and a white brothers e-series slip on. While i am riding in the woods second gear is a real dog to the point today that i didnt even use it climbing hills had to use first. Could this possibly be a jetting issue and if so what should I run

i would say around a 152 main, with the needle on the 3rd clip and 3 turns out on the f/a screw. would be sufficient for jetting but maybe a 150 would be better depending on elevation and such if you are up a bit higher. what gearing are you running, what year, stock compression? maybe it is time to do a bit of rebuilding if a compression test shows lower than 110 or 120 psi at least no lower than 100psi, this would be pretty low imo. steve

the manual says the psi should be 100 -128 psi so 100 might be low but still good

its a 2001 400ex as far as i know its stock gearing and stock compression and I do know it has a 150 main in it i dont know what clip or what the pilot jet is. I have a 416 kit for it, just havent put it in yet also going to get a sparks timing key

check your sprockets and make sure they are stock. Are you bogging it down in 2nd when you hit the hills? YOu have to make sure if you're going up a hill in 2nd that you're in your power range otherwise if you go to slow it will dog up the hill.

I've hit a couple hills on mine where it just kinda creeps up to the top because i lost rpm after spinning the wheels in the dirt. If you keep your speed in 2nd it should rip right up the hill.

air, fuel, spark. check all 3 in that order.
