Moving the idiot lights & key switch .

I'm wanting to take the plastic dash off my kfx, where is everybody putting your idiot lights and key switch ? Any pics you guy have that ican get ideas from would be great. :confused:

I know alot of guys mount their dummy lights on the top of the hood and the key on the side of the hood. I didn't feel like drillin holes in my hood so I did this...

or just do the cheap route like i did.

they will be pretty decent sized holes needing to be drilled though. the keyswitch is almost a 3/4 and the indiacators a maybe 5/8 if i remember right. maybe a hair bigger.

Both nice solutions.....that trail tech clamp has a nice look to it and ties in with the pro taper bars nicely........i've seen many body mounts that look nice also like dans does...

Hey jaguar where do you have your key at if you still use it? And what works good for you guys to secure the light in there new spots? glue or silicone or whatever?

Well if your going to drill your plastics for the lights then maybe you might wanna use silicone or something but the rubber grommets do a pretty good job of holding the lights in place.

I'm still loocking for a spot, now it's zip tie around the base where all the cables go, as for the lights i didnt use any glue just made the hole the same shape, and size as the dash easy on an off ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,try to find the key switch http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u64/jaguarr2012/DSC00017-1.jpg
