What exacts makes our quads so heavy?

Compared to the 450r, is if the frame itself or engine weight?

It's mostly the engine and suspension components I want to say. Then all the small stuff that starts adding up. The EX motor alone is between 90-100 pounds. Not sure how much the TRX/CRF motor weighs, but I know its a good bit less. The frame is nothing in comparison, only about 30 pounds or so.

mostly the motor. Even my old 300ex motor was wayy heavier than my 450r motor. but then again the 450r has a radiator, fan, and coolant to add weight. anyone know the factory weight of both quads?

450R is 350
