2007 450er slow starting

Does anyone know what to do about the slow starting of the electric start models? I have a 2007 450er and it cranks about 3 seconds before she fires. I race xc and with a dead engine start it kills me off the line. I am considering an aftermarket cdi but would like some input before I purchase one.

with the 24v set up. you can start in gear with clutch out! if you choose to but. if you do you will have to replace your starter brushes more often (only on in gear starts) if your just starting with clutch in that wont cause any problems (mine is still cranking like its a turbo)

If you stall it out, try to find Neutral before re-starting. It tends to start easier in neutral.
