As far as I know the 09 already has the kit unless the ones you got from BCS are steel in that case I think you swap them out. Take a magnet to them steel is magnetic, AL is not.

The part on the left goes in the rear by the seat, the rest up front a-arms. I'm surprised BCS gave no instructions. Go to the Can-am website they have 2009 XMX illustrations how they fit..try that first if you still don't understand I will take the time to put together some instructions and photos.

All 09's have these plates.

I don’t have the rear just take the seat off you’ll probably see the piece on left for the hip.

My 09 DS XMX has one front arm front and rear and rear arm one up front just like the diagram and pics show. Bear in mind this kit does not stop that crack in the pic, that IS a 09....you need gussets or 2010 front plate helps a little.

Glad I could help good luck have fun! :D

PS: need a pic of the rear lemme know. Thx for the Thx I don't work for BRP just like helping ppl out.

What all comes with the reinforcement kit and what does it all reinforce?

What the OP posted is the kit…As it says when you widen the front to 50” it puts more stress where the a-arms come together, so they(BRP/BCS) make those plates that are suppose to distribute that stress to the arms evenly on both sides, well the area where you see that crack by that bolt sees to much stress still so in 2010 BRP redesigned the area again to make an updated kit shown below(XMX). I think it needs a bolt where I show to keep the frame from bending/cracking still. The idea to put more material up the frame member to keep the crack away, I don’t think it’s that effective without the bolt in red.

I’d suggesting getting the kit regardless of how wide your front is or better yet the BRP 2010 z-channel, it’s cheap preventative maintenance and I believe don’t quote me BCS is made of steel…if your frame does crack there are several alternatives to fix it. Get the frame hip re-enforcement too regardless it you race or not.

Hey TNT, can you post any of the other sheets that have the performance parts part numbers on them, or is there only the 50mm throtlle body. Also do you ahve to have anything else done before putting that 50mm throttle body on and does it make much difference? I still have some money in my racer account to spend.

These are outdated and over a year old...I think just putting the 50 mm on w/o getting rid of the rubber intake duck, stock filter would be ineffective and depending on what other mod's you have the stock injector. You can get the TB bored up to 52mm (check MW's/BCS) some are doing if you can find someone to make a butterfly valve...I think they are using cone cutters to bore that give a slight taper being larger on the filter side. That will help cone the air down as with the rest of the intake track to increase velocity and decrease pressure for fuel atomization. If you know a local handy sheet metal mechanic that can make the valve and shrowd you can save some $ too.
