NEED HELP!! CanI use an 06+ YFZ crank in an 05 motor??

I have a 2005 yfz motor that needs a new crank, piston/rings and clutch, my question is whether or not the 06 crank is better to use and if so will it work??

Also then do i just use any year piston and rings??

Basically i will just have an 05 motor with an 06 crank?Is that correct?? thanks

Yes you can put the 06 crank in the 05 motor. It will give you 449cc compared to 439cc. I order 05 13.5.1 compression pistons for mine and they been running on 93 octaine pump gas for years like this your at like 13.2.1 compressions with this combination and im at sea level. I have 2 05 yfz with this combination run very good and are very strong motors
