Whats up guys, im new to the yamaha world, i've always ran honda. recently i had purchased an 08 yfz 450, it has a full titanium two bros. exhaust, what else would be helpful and fairly well priced for some power.
I ride around 1000-2000 ft and dunes every once in a while. I pretty much wanna make this bike to the point of never wanting a honda again...

k&n is a good, cost effectave mod. the zip tie mod is practically free lol, a 2 cent zip tie, and a star screw driver if you dont have one lmao, jk. also hot cams are fairly inexpensive.. i think they are

i will have to argue with you on this matter, lol UNI air filters best ever. but x2 on the zip tie mod/cam mod/throttle spring mod. Also the stock cams are fine unless u have a HC piston, ported head, and bigger intake you would be wasting money with stock motor. kick start for backup is a good investment.

its where u take out all ur bolts and use zipties to save weight, lol

nah its using a small zip tie or wire to link the accel pump and throttle slide together because on the 04-08 carb models they had a bog issue when u stab the throttle. the acc pump wouldnt open as fast as u could push the throttle thus leaving .5-1 sec delay and caused it to bog. wiring it together would instantly open the pump and slide all together and eliminate the bog.

dosent apply to EFI bikes:D

mxpimpn is right. As far as im concerned K&N sucks. Foam is the only way to go. The no toil filters are very good but if you got the money a clamp on foam filter is the way to go. Pro flow or any other clamp on will give you more air and a positive seal for the filter to the box.

i hate to break it to you guys but a stock yfz air filter puts out as much horsepower as an aftermarket one...just saying

if you have a pro flow kit or mod quad adapter or even the sparks adapter or GYTR adapter the 06-08 TRX honda 450R UNI clamp on filters work perfect. i have a FCI intake and have a no toil and UNI filter for the 06 TRX.

dirt bike timing. u set the exhaust cam 1 tooth clockwise and its suppose to help and give u a couple hp.
