converting 08 450r into 450er?

hey i was wondering does anyone know how to switch a 2008 trx450r to have electric start? I found converson kits but they're only for the 04-05 modle. Please let me know. thanks

you had an option. a kicker is rare. im sure you can find a XC racer that will trade you

i have an 08 kicker and it took me 4 months to find one. consider yourself lucky....if you really want electric, i'm sure there's guys out there that would love to trade you! the conversion is not worth it in my opinion.

Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy for wanting/loving/having a kick start. I love it! No dead batteries and if it doesnt run its probably not electrical or atleast like battery wise. Makes things more simple.

well the reason i want electric start is because i broke my hip and pelvis racing last year and my hip is not strong enough to kick start the quad. i bought it last week thinking it wouldnt be a big deal but i was proved wrong this weekend when i went to go race it haha.

you will need

1 a way to mount a battery.
2 wireing harness
3 cdi box
4 starter cylinoid
5 starter
6 starter clutch
7 three diffrent gears and there holders for internal.
8 starter button

you can buy most of these items on e-bay pretty cheap.
that will get you started....

You can have both. You don't have to take one off, to install the other.
