I know stock are 22" front tires, but what advantage or disadvantage would there be switching to a 21" front? It seems like it would turn easier with less sidewall "roll."

I'm not worried about ground clearance.

less roll in the corners, you can get smaller rims and save weight also with them. Most guys like them for mx to lower the front and then run 18" in the back. If i ran mx i would def get some 21" and try them out just for weight savings. steve

Most people run 20" front tires for MX. 21" tires are the most common tires for trailriding, and cross country racing. Like you said they have less roll in the corners.

see good to know, i thought most ran 21s there and 22 or 23 gncc stuff. 20s would really be very nice for roll and for lowering the cg of the machine. thanks, steve

Thanks for the replies. I will be sticking with the 20" rears as this quad only sees trails and desert/XC/GP conditions. I think I will try the 21" fronts and see how it feels. Thanks!

What size do you recommend for the dunes?

Changing your tyre size will alter the angle of your a-arms relative to the ground & will change your castor setting & possibly affect high speed stability & or turn-in, although just a 1" change would be fairly minimal, even on a short wheelbase like the ex.
