My 86 250r has a stock 2000 CR250 carb. I have a ESR 330 kit and it does great. I bought the carb new and it is an AirStriker.

What size is the carb. on the CR 250Rs??? Is there anything else needed for the quad other than the carb... I've heard of some people having to replace the boot from the carb to airbox.

Its a 38mm. I used the stock boot with no problem. I have a twist throttle, but I have a friend that uses the same carb with a thumb throttle.

I've got a 36mm supposedly mic'd(I guess that's how you say it) to a 37mm... I always wanted to just upgrade to a 38mm Airstryker. What's the difference between the Aristryker and the CR250Rs factory carb.???

Its been awhile but I think the CR has a different needle. I think they call it a 2 or the stage needle. Other than that I dont think there is any difference.

I know the 2000 CR250 will. Thats the one I have. Im sure other year s may have them to. Thats something you will have to check to make sure.
