cam chain guides

I'm replacing the cam chain.Have it torn down ready to install.My question is this.How do you tell if the guides are worn down.What to look for,any measurements I can go by?

I think there are notches out of them to show the amount of wear left such as on the chain guides for the regular chain. I am not exactly sure though. I would say that there should be some info in the service manual on specs for how thick they should be if you have one. If not download one from the internet and check it out. steve
