I have never rode a quad with aftermarket a-arms. Right now I have my wheels offset and are just as wide as a quad with a-arms so i really don't see the point in getting them. But if I plan on buy big $$$ shocks I don't want to have to get rid of them later on cause they won't fit after market a-arms. So should I go ahead and get aftermarket a-arms?

Thats probably one of the biggest mistakes I see people do.
If your just trail riding. Your probably going to be ok with stock A arms and good shocks. If you are even considering putting that thing on a track, competitively, consider buying shocks for after market arms.
I see ALOT of people buy shocks for stock arms then half way through the season, they want to either sell them or send them back for mods (cans, + sizes). It gets expensive doing it that way.

Thats my opinion.

Sorry man - great info but no advertising :) - Ben

I believe Raptor02 races MX...so yes aftermarket arms and good shocks are well worth the cash...
