i would say the 330ex would win, since its got all the hot-rod stuff on it, and since the z400 would be stock

the 330 would get it in the begginning but the Z would take it at the end

Put a diffrent tooth on that 330 and you'll take it in the end....but the end is where it counts huh??

well a 330 eX can only take a stock 400ex and a stock Z400 takes the 400ex soo..

I have seen lots of 330's with less mods just a pipe and a kandn take stock exs by far.I have a friend who has a 350ex and that thing halls balls....It gets it for sure...

a plan janer 440 kit supposedly only adds 3-4 ponies to an ex without any other improvements such as cam, porting, carbs ect. I do not see how just a 330 bore/pipe/filter will do the job.....

The Z would eat you alive. I have seen those things in action.

it depends on how in depth you went into the engine like porting cam valve spings and so on

Option A you might beat it with this set up:
what i would do if i were you is go with a high compression piston like 11.1 and do a good port job and 3 angle valve job on the head, add a drop in cam (so you don't have to have your rocker arms harded and heavy duty springs) open the airbox, re-jet, and add a high flowing exhaust ( not a slip on

OptionB you will beat it with this set up:
if you want to go even faster add a race cam, larger valves, harded rocker arm, heavy duty valve springs and a 12.1 piston. now you have to run cam2. and in my opinion (because i did this with my 440) they're not near as fun to ride in the woods, too much power, too many trees. Fun for drag racing though if that's what you like doing.

this is just my opinion......a while back in one of the dirt wheels mag. there was a 330ex set up like this Option B except for it only used an 11.1 piston i think, but it smoked a stock 400ex and i know a Z400 isn't that much faster than a 400ex.

guys a 330 will not beat Z400..... end of story, there is no way.... trust me, i know;)

and a 400ex will never beat a raptor........right?

besides who really cares which one is faster in a drag race. drag racing dont prove nothing...put them both in the woods and i bet the 300ex would give the Z a good run for it's money...

But seriously it's not worth the money to try and make it as fast as a Z400....not only will it cost alot of money but it will also make it un reliable.....your best bet is to sell your 300ex and take the money you were going invest in the mods, and buy a Z400 :square

What if you put a 410 stroker in a 300ex then how would it fair up to a z400.

Either way, your gonna get beat by either price paid for mods and fourwheeler. Or getting beat in a race.

So....I suggest when the company buying C-Dale gets that stuff up, that's what I would get.

Or, you could get the Honda that will eventually come out. I'd get an American product though :)

this is the thing

i own and race many 300's and it all depends on your set up

you could set up a 330 for drag or racing ....

you can slo get just the kit if you have just the kit you prretty much will run beside him till bout 3rd gear

if you get real good port job, godd compression ratio, good big cam, and a real good exhaust and carb with spot on jetting you will beat it

i could beat one with ne of mine

its all about how much exsperience you have with them and knowing what works with what. also jetting plays a big part

basically work on getting all the extra ait and fuel in for the bigger bore then work on getting it out

if you want the best bang for your buck go to pro fab atv they make a 410 stroker kit 330 kit, 365, 385

you can also get any machine work done like bigger valves scott will set you up good

also take a look at my other sponcer "the Quad Shop"
