front reinforcement plate

after looking at the front reinforcement plate that i got w/the racer package it doesn't look any different than the one currently on my 450x...is this only for the regular base model 450s that don't have a reinforcement plate on them? It isn't ANY thicker and I don't want to have to cut off the rivets if I don't have to.

do you have an 09? I think they come stock with the re-enforcements, but I'm not positive.

its an 08...but i'm hoping to cut the rivets off WITHOUT taking off the radiator. I just put engine ice in and don't want to have to drain it.

If i were you i would take the radiator off cause i damaged my radiator while drilling out the rivets. Engine ice is alot cheater than a new radiator.
