08 250ex hard to shift

Hey guys i just picked my son up a 2008 trx250ex. It is hard to shift unless u use the clutch. I bought this so he wouldnt have to use a clutch yet. Is there anything i can look at to see why it wont shift without the clutch? Thanks

mine does the same. i honestly have no clue why. ask your dealer would be my idea.

They wouldnt offer up any free advice, want me to bring it in. Before i do that i am hoping someone will chime in with some tips.

Does it get easier after its warmed up? I think it has to do with it having both types of clutches....My 02 250ex is tougher to shift than my 700xx by alot, especially into first gear. It gets better as it warms up and also I think it helps if you just really practice to get the right angle...its different and more upward than you'd think to make it shift smoothly.
