EVS Ballistic jersey

Im curious if anyone has this as their chest protector. I just received the 2 I ordered and am not sure if they offer that much protection. They look cool and the boys love them, but want something safe. Just looking for opinions on it. Thanks!

My wife, mother, father, and one brother have the Ballistic and like them very much. I wear a 661 and think it provides more protection. It is way more difficult to put on than the Ballistic, but once on it is comfortable.

My mother and father crashed in a large ravine last October and neither broke ribs or had any upper body damage at all. They were both going pretty fast, in fact, my mom broke her hip and had to have a pin inserted. They now swear by the Ballistic's.
