Hey i've got a 2004 YFZ450 with sparks exhaust, k&n pro design intake, and rev box. Its got the stock 39mm mikuni carb on it. How much will a 49mm edelbrock help me? Like will it be noticeable? Also thinking about porting and polishing the head.

it makes more power. but i like my stock one muchhhhhhhh better. so much easyer to tune and get running perfect but once you get the elderblock setup its awsome. but its really a pain in the ***.

so the stock 39mm isn't too restrictive?

The stock carb is a very good one. I wouldn't go with the edelbrock. Everyone that I know that had one had a pain in the ***** trying to get it to run right. You can have your carb bored out to a 42 for 125 bucks and it will give it a good amount of power increase especially with the porting and a piston. A 49mm carb is way to big for most builds.
