I've finally made up my mined to buy a ESR bolt on head. I just don't have the time or money to get the case bored for a CT or ESR power valve. I was just wanted some input? I was thinking of getting a 330 bolt on with pump gas head, but is it worth it to get 330 and only have 2 bores or go with the 310 and have full 4 bores? I want to get a pump gas head cuz its a pain to get race gas all the time, is race gas that much better?

So would a 330 bolt on with TRX 7 port, and TRX 7 pipe be the best set up? I mostly ride woods/Trails and some sand, would the TRX 5 pipe work better?

All input would be helpful, i have never had a big bore motor before, Thanks

I just had LED build me a 350PV. I have it together and running, but not broken in yet.
Arlan advised against building a pump gas motor if you are porting it for performance. He said that if you run pump gas, of course you have to run lower compression. Then, to make up for the less compression, the port timing should be advanced quite high to get some real HP out of it. With advanced port timing, them motor makes less torgue, and feels slower. I am not an expert, this is what he told me.
I think running pump gas top ends from ESR is why their porting is sometimes reported as "cookie cutter." This may also be why some people with big bore ESR top ends get them reported by Cleigh, or Arlan.

what kind of set-up would you use to get the 310 to out run a 330? Just with the right carb. and pipe? with race gas?

ok so, today i ordered a 310 bolt on with race gas dome, with a TRX 5 pipe. I've seen good things on here about the TRX5 so went with it insted of the TRX 7, is this a mistake or good set-up?
Thanks for all the input guys!
