first quad, jetting?

hi everyone im new to the website as well as i just bought my first four wheeler and its a 2000 400ex. anyways it burning rich. it has white bros slip on, uni filter, no lid on airbox, i think the main was a 170 and pilot was a 42, stock bore and carb as far as i kno and was told....the guy i bought it from didnt do anything to it, the one before him bought it all so.......:ermm:
any clue wut jets to run anyone?

Hey, Great investment and congrats. You can't go wrong with an old school 400, But without really knowing much about the motor and adding in it's age .... I'd say to just keep droppin the main and tweakin till it's dialed in. Good luck and enjoy.

i kno the pilot is a 42 and im gonna leave it be lol, but the main is a little boogered and looks like it says 170, ill try a 155 and would spark plug burning temp have any effect??
