One of my quads is a little low on coolant and i wanted to fill it. What are you guys running for coolant besides the brp stuff. is regular prestone 50/50 ok?

Regular Preston 50/50 should be fine. That's what I have been running.

I could be wrong, but I think if you are going to run engine ice you need to drain the system and run pure engine ice. I don't think you want to mix it.

I believe you are right, drain and fill with engine ice.

The gas is boiling from radiant heat from the engine, if the coolant drops the heat coming off the engine towards the tank it may help but I'd be surprised if it does a whole lot. A better choice would be heat reflective tape on the underside of the tank or CV 4 makes a gas tank boot.

heather wrap helps too. keeps the gas tank cooler. and seems to help the quad run better.
