I just picked up an 04 450r. The hot start is locked up in the carb. I haven't done too much with it, but wonder how it's tied into the carb. Is it basically a plunger ? Is it supposed to just pull out? Thanks
Yes, it's a plunger. They are prone to freezing up. Most of the time, you can let it sit in PB Blaster for a while, and get it to break free. If not, it will have to be drilled out.

Soak it, soak it, soak it. And also, it's very easy to bend the top of it where the cable will just yank out. I had to dig mine out with a pair of needlenose one time. Just be patient and keep soaking it.

I had the same issue with a Kehin PWK a while back. Choke was stuck, broke the top and had tto dig. I will try and take my time and see if it helps. Thanks
