motor question

Sometimes when I'm in 4th or 5th gear and I hit a "bump", it feels like it pops out of gear and goes into neutral. I'm giving it gas and it'll just rev up for a second, then kinda bog down back into gear... What's going on here? First time it did it, I didnt think anything of it, but it did it again today after work. Thoughts???

Are you sure its only happens when you hit a bump? Kinda sounds to me like your clutch is starting to slip..only doing it in higher gears because it takes more power to pull those gears. And how big of a bump is it? big enough to slightly cause the rear tires to come off the ground and lose traction?

small, but maybe enough to cause the rear tires to lose traction. I thought about that right after I posted...

I dont know though, it really feels more like it's slipping.
