Those of you that are running hand guards, what type are you running and how do they work, fit, etc????

I am looking at the Acerbis and the maier right now. I am also running tag fat bars.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm fixing to get maier's and I think they make them for sport quads too

Acerbis make sure you get the fatbar mount:)

Ig you get the Maier Handguards, the ones that look like Acerbis Rally guards. U can buy them, the adapter kit for fat bars, and add-on spoilers for the price of just the "ACERBIS" rally guards and they are the same handguards except i think the wholes along the top have a differant design. I have both sitting at home, and they are identical. Just an idea

I second the CYCRA Pro Bends. I actually just got the CYCRA plastic gaurds and bolted them to my maier aluminum gaurds.

i had cycra pro bends 2 years ago. Me and my old man were sponosored by them so he them on his bike, and i had them on my quad. We both had the aluminum snap on us fron hitting sapplings. His broke his finger when it snapped back, and mine was in an offcamber section didnt hurt me, but i was jacked cause they are $$$$. Kinda like the Roll design of hanguards. But i think they are shoddy.

mine have taken a shibby of a beating and have yet to break and have held up better where acerbis didn't but i agree if they ever did snap i'll probably loose a finger but i think it's goin to take more than a milk truck to snap em:huh

I got them from Dennis Kirk I don't remember how much but I think it was $50 or less. I really like them and they bolt up nice.

I personally like the Acerbis Flag Mxs. They are perfect for MX.

Open end and small. Great guards.

I was putting Acerbis Rallyguards on Fly bars. The problem was the bar clamp not lining up and interference between the front brake resevoir and the guard itself. Ended up having to machine custom clamps that reach out farther and have a different angle on the ends. What a hassle.

I know they really keep that cold air off my fingers which makes me very happy.

I've had great luck with the Cycra!!!
BA has those Emgo hand guards, they work pretty good but the carbon flaked off after the first ride.

I have been riding with my EMGOs for almost a year now and they are hardly even scratched.
