Hey guys can you help me decide? My son just turned 10 and i'm looking to get him a new bike. He has been ridding a Kazuma mini falcon 90cc and really needs something more. My question is does the ty90 with 4th gear mod offer enough or should I spend the extra $400 for the ty125?
He will just be ridding dunes and woods.
Also does "semi auto clutch" mean he has to clutch to start or not?
Srry for the noob questions but I wanna make an informed decision.
Thanks

The smart thing to do would be get a 90cc, take it home, take the motor out, and use the other $400 and get a pitbike motor and drop in. I'd say 150cc or better. Or you could do a 125cc and when he wants more power drop the bigbore on it. That's pretty much what most of us Typhoon dads have done for our kids.

So is the 125 a more reliable motor in the mean time?

The Typhoon 125? Or a pitbike 125? The Typhoon 125 has crank issues and eventually it'll break. The 90cc's don't have that issue but for a 10yr old your son will get bored of it's low power. If you're talking about the Pitbike motor it's all based on the engine you get. Let me know what size you're looking at and I'll give you some options.

The very best thing you could do is, scroll down a few threads here and buy one of the typhoons i have for sale.
Just my .02 worth. :D

Would like to. You really have some nice bikes there for sale, but prolly wont be cost effective to try to get them to northern oklahoma. :(

I have family in Topeka, Ks How many quads are you wanting? I have a guy in Ks wanting the orange one, if you are interested in the blue one or both, I will bring them to Topeka.
