I was wondering what the benefit is of running the 787 belt over the 780? Tyler's quad seems to do fine out of the holeshot considering he only has a pipe on the quad ( no other motor mods). He often beats some heavily modded quads on the holeshots. Where would we notice the benefit?

Depending on which clutch you use a 787 should allow your belt to travel further up the front and increase your top speed some.

WE GET BETTER BOTTOM AND TOP END WITH THE 787 OVER THE 780

You should get more Belt Travel on both ends which will provide more top and bottom end when tuned correctly.

the difference between the 780 and 787 belt is 7.
yes, it has the advantages folks here listed, can be better on both top and bottom, but it does have a dark side, especially on 50s. It's worth a try, either you quad will love it or hate it. usually no middle ground.

Should be no issues if all is tuned right, just gotta make it all work together.

a couple years ago when we switched to the 787 on our stock Apex 90 it made a noticable difference off the line and on the top end. Just make sure the spacing/shims in the variator are correct. The 2 787 belts that I know of are either wider or narrower than the 780 belt.
