what is a `05 viper 90r in good shape worth. im i was thinking of putting an asking price of $1000 on it as my son has outgrown it and is on a 250 now. is that too much or am i in the ballpark?

In good shape I would say 1000 is in the top of the ball park and it would probably move on your local craigs list within a month or so in the 800.00 to 1000.00 range. If you feel good about the 1000 and want to move it you can list it for 995.00 and see what happens.
You can lower your price a little if needed in a couple of weeks.
