My son has outgrown his hopped up two stroke eton 90..IT does about 40 mph top speed...Would the 250 ex be much of an upgrade performance wise?

55 or 60 is about as high as it will go, no matter the upgrades, read the sticky at the top, its helpful:)

Stock Dunlops on a 2002 250ex. AT22 X 10-9 per the manual. I did not go look.

hmmm...... i figured it would be faster with the 22's.
it had to be the 200+ pound rider

Yes, could have been the weight also tires were inflated to middle of the suggested range not maxed out. Weight limit per manual is 240 lb, so I am at the limit.

Mrjack9,
I'm guessing you are talking about El Mirage Dry Lake???
I've been going there for about 40 years.

Here's a pic of my camp from last Memorial Weekend.
we are usually parked near the west end, north side, and Grey Mtn. is straight out from us......
