View Full Version : anybody ride west point tn hills?

me and some friends want to do a trip and from what i've read west point has the the badassest hills around. anybody have any tips or advice like its public/private property, cost?, ect. what are the best spare parts to bring (bike) how close is the nearest road from the trails for ambulance?

I remember that pic lol? I read you have to be some kind of a member to ride there, true? i hear that collage is the toughest hill, is it.

The land is leased by a riding club out of North Alabama. Google NATRA, and you will find their website. It's $50 per family per year, which is alot cheaper than most places per day. The nearest hospital is a good 30 minute drive, and you would be better off driving yourself out than to wait on an ambulance. There have probably been more people flown out on a helicopter than there have been taken out on an ambulance.

As far as spare parts go, if you plan on climbing some of the bigger hills, just bring an extra bike. It will be alot easier.

Yeah, I was coming up about where those guys are standing in the picture of the wall. I have a video of college, but I haven't uploaded it yet.

This is the only other pic I have of the wall. Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZaKHL93lPA) a guy falling off of college. He's extremely lucky. If you search for the other videos he uploaded, he has alot of other hills up there, including the wall.
