im trying to replace the wheel bearings on my 04 pred and ive already mangled one spindle so i get to visit ebay for it. my question is, how the hell do i get the hub assembly off the spindle? basically i wanna remove the red thing the wheel bolts onto. i checked the manual and its telling me to just slide it off, well thats a load of ****, so whats the trick to getting it off? air chisel and big chisel with big hammer so far have failed me

I used a pulley puller. It worked great. I had the same problem, until I tried the puller.

ive got 3 pullers they were all too short. i ended up remove the entire assembly from the quad and laying it flat on the rotor on my vice and then with a punch and hammer i got the spindle to break free from the hub
