Does anyone know if I need to have the primary beveled to use the moose billet clutch basket?

huh? all aftermarket baskets are made to accomidate stock gears

On some motors(not sure of years)the gear will rub the basket. You can do this mod i your garage if so. Don't worry about your new basket. A little skill and a 4in grinder will work wonders!

After some digging, it seems that the 86 gear will rub and needs to be beveled, 87-89 should be fine the way they are.
