Looking to get a racing hood along with some handlebar mounted lights. Not looking for anything fancy since I don't do too much night riding. Just want to have something for when I do hit the trails when it's dark. I was looking at the cheaper Trail Tech ones but I wasn't sure how durable they are considering they are plastic. Also, how would they compare to stock lights? The specs are 5600K. 570 foot candles. 6100 Lux. 6° beam angle.

They also have "Silver Satin" ones for the same price but don't have a picture of them.

Yeah, he has the ones I want and will probably go with. I was thinking about the stand alone ones for a cheap means to get HIDs. I just don't know if I could mount them the way I'd want to with my bar pad and everything.

i'm not really sure why im still awake and reading through threads, but i am :p . anyway, my brother and i both have the handlebar mounted torch lights and we could not be happier with them. they are much brighter than stock, and im not embarrassed about the looks. its also really nice to have the lights turn in the direction of the bars. you really can't go wrong with anything made my trailtech, but i don't have any experience with the other lights in question. all i know, is that i am 100% satisfied with my torch lights.

The Torches are Halogen, right?

yep, it would be awesome to go with a set of torch lights and then one of the HID's, but since you said you don't do much night riding, it probably wouldn't be worth it.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure if I went with the HIDs I'd find myself riding at night a lot more haha.

So I'm getting ready to order the Torch handlebar kit from RMATV. I was wondering if I would run into any problems with it while using bar risers.

This is the kit I am getting: http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&vehicleId=146&webTypeId=88&navTitle=Electrical&webCatId=20&stockId=20898&prodFamilyId=9391#vehicleSelect

And these are the risers I have: http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&navTitle=Handlebars-Control&webTypeId=70&webCatId=12&stockId=212333&prodFamilyId=25849
