OK I GOT THE ENGINE FINALLY PUT BACK TOGETHER BUT HAVE A COUPLE OF PROBLEMS.
1- THE EXHAUST IS TOUCHING ONE OF MY RADIATOR HOSE THAT GOES FROM CYLINDER TO CASE. LIKE LAYING ON IT. WHY?

2- CARB WAS A SUPER TIGHT FIT. THE BOOT COMING FROM BOX TO CARB WAS CRINKLED UP LIKE IT WAS TO LONG AND WAS NEVER MEANT TO FIT. IS THIS BECAUSE OF THE ESR CYLINDER? I GOT IT ON THERE BUT DONT LIKE HOW TIGHT IT IS.

3- WENT TO FILL RADIATOR WITH ANTI FREEZE AND IT STARTED LEAKING OUT OF A HOLE IN THE CASE COVER UNDER THE WATER PUMP COVER. WHYS IT DOING THIS?

I STILL FIRED HER UP BUT I THINK THE 200 MAIN IS TO BIG CAUSE IT STARTED THAN SPUTERED THAN DIED. BUT ILL TELL YOU THAT VP C12 SMELLED AWESOME THE COUPLE OF SECONDS IT WAS RUNNING :D

the leak could be your mechanical seal.

do you have the copper washer on the drain bolt?

i dont know ill have to check. is it to let you know when your seal is bad?

its not leaking from the drain bolt theres a small hole in the whole case cover right under the water pump where its leaking

that small hole is where it will leak if the mechanical seal is bad time for a water pump rebuild

Is there any chance the radiator hose is upside down? I had a similar problem when i replaced my head gasket. Try to flip the hose and see what happens.

how can the hose be upside down? i think i just need to rebuild the pump cause i took it apart and it looked like there were a couple of seals missing according to my manual. but another question on the inside of the carb theres a nipple in the middle of the carb and a nipple on the bowl. is a hose suppose to run from nipple to nipple? i hooked it up but cant remember if it goes like that. anyways what do you guys think of the looks of it? anyone else run vp fuel?

Did you use straight anti freeze, or did you mix it with distilled water?? straight anti freeze is thinner than water, and i have had this happen trying to run it that way. The water is actually what does your cooling, try a 60/40 mix see if it leaks after that.

ok i used my dads compression tool to check my compression but its reading under 50.
can some one explain to me how to do a compression check properly? i used a tool they use to check compression on cars if that makes any difference?

the metal bar running from the frame mount to pipe mount needs to be on the inside of the pipe. you have it on the outside of the pipe. that should fix your pipe/hose issue.

carb-airbox boot is usually pretty snug right there in front of the frame, it can be a PITA to get right.

Someone correct me if i am wrong, but i seem to remember having to have atleast 125 psi compression to get one to kick start.
Turn your gas off, attach your comp tester in the spark plug hole, hold your throttle wide open, and kick the bike over untill the compression quits going up.

It won't have the compression it should until you properly get the rings seated into the cylinder. I would check it after you get it broke in.

welli talked to a guy at work and like leager-n-ky said he told me to hold throttle wipe open. and i can keep kicking it till it quits going up because it blows the hose off the gauge hose. it has a air hose attatchment like a grinder. and atvmxr i dont think moving that bar will move the pipe far enough over to get it off my hose. im thinking of putting some braided line over my hose to keep heat off it a lil better too.

yeah i was gonna say that carb your running looks kinda small for that cylinder haha id say most ppl run a 38mm ive seen some run 40s its all whats gonna be best for your application ya know

Well I don't know much about carbs or what would be best for my cylinder.

before you buy a new coil you can check it.... research how to check your coil with a volt-meter before you spend money. If you have a bad ground on your harness, meaning the bolt came loose that holds it to the frame, or it's on a painted spot, you won't get a spark. Your mechanical seal is leaking through the weep hole. I've never had luck getting the old one out, I always take the clutch cover to a well known shop and have them swap them out....
