I have an 04 with the fcr carb. What airbox do I need to run?

If I have the fci intake, can I run an air box?

?? I have an 04 with an FCR carb from a CRF (NOSS adapter) and I've been using the 04 airbox and filter for a few years now, no problems.

I am running a 41 mm Sparks FCR with a FCI with no problems. I think the sparks carb was built to run with the stock air box though. Venom performance also makes an adapter I think.

Smoker, how are you using the 04 airbox? My 04 airbox outside diamter is the same As the outside diameter of the boss adapter. Are you Just using some type of rubber coupling?

with a fcr carb you will need a Noss adaptor or a 06+ airbox/boot or you can just use a 06+ boot with your airbox

It depends on what style of FCR you are using. The 06+ TRX carbs need to use their style of box. The dirtbike (MX) style FCR carbs with a noss adapter, mount to the 04 air box.

it's from an 04 crf, i already have the noss adapter ordered, but what about the intake boot, does it not use one?

All you need in additon to the carb is the Noss adapter. Both the connection to the head and the boot to the airbox you use your stock parts. You will also have to wire up the TPS. (There should be a post somewhere to tell you what wires from the quad to connect to what wires on the carb.) I have CRF carbs on both my 450R's, one of the best mods I did.
