How would that hood fit on stock plastics?

well me cut the little tabs off the front of the hood and just bolted it through the very front but the back we will have to make some kind little bracket to go under the hood to put on of the little plastic pins through

After seeing your post I had to order my hood. I found a nice yellow 250r hood. The color will not match very well but I may paint it.
Hopefully it will turn out well.

I am pretty sure the 250r hood works fine
post more angles cause from that angle it looks way out of place and just stuck on there/doesnt flow.

Can you use a 250r hood on the '05s without removing the headlight assembly?

Also what clips are gonna end up using to hold it on. Do you have a link to them. SO that way I can have them ready to go when the hood arrives.

ok i edited the picture you posted on how i did it
i cut the front tabs off, centered the hood, drilled holes in the front, and half way up the sides(red dot)
then i went to the hard ware store and got black screws and washers bolted the hood on, but dont screw it down to tight just do it with your hands and then take the wrech and tighten slightly more not much more though, or you can go to the honda dealer and get the plastic pins but then after that i put these black plastic caps in the top holes to fill them in so its just not a plain hole there
mine came out alot nice then i thought so im happy

It looks like you took your time and did it about as well as you could for having a hood from a completly different quad. I don't really like the look, but it looks nice. Sorry if this doesn't make sense lol
