yukon gears

I am going through some motors and parts- all which may not have been originally installed by myself (purchased some time ago as they are today)-


is there a way to tell if a motor has yukon gears (or any other aftermarket gear) set?

Also Baldwin and Yukon are a bit different if I remember- is that correct? what is the difference and would one set be prefered over the other- if so why?

I believe Baldwin sells the Yukon gears. I would just get them on Ebay though.
