hey i was thinkin of gettin a dvd ripper... one of the deals where u just get the software (cd install disk) and u can rip, copy, then burn ur own dvds from dvd r disks to cd r disks... is this possible?? will it work,,, if so itll save me bout 100 bucks... tx :D

I dont know about that, but you can rip and burn a dvd, with an CDr drive. Burn any video you want on DVD to a CD in the format of a VCD. If any one askes you did learn that from me.

freeride your not doing anything wrong by saying that. yes you can take any avi file? i belive i can't remeber, but burn it in VCD format with a normal CD burner. so long as your DVD drive will support VCD or SVCD format.

but no comment on the other stuff, that you can get in trouble for. but google is a good search engine.
