spark on the r

hey guys if i took the plug out and grounde3d it to the motor and use my hand to trun the motor over with the kicker should it make spark ????
becase mine doesnt unless i really really kick it fast and then it is just a littil spark

when i holdmine in my hand i never even get a jolt. i think its just the nature of the beast. it still starts on the first or second kick though.
