Looking into getting tires for my 02 400ex. I ride mostly trail with some clay and loose dirt. What would you guys suggest? I heard Maxxis razr 2's in front with razr in the rear is a good combo. And I also heard razr 2's in rear have little to much grip. I currently have razr orig on the rear but they don't have like any tread left. And stock tires up front and they doing have much grip at all. Any one tried the razr ambush's yet?

Also looking for new handle bars for cheap. Any suggestions on them? I was looking into these. Fly Handlebars (http://www.bikebandit.com/fly-6061-t-6-aluminum-handlebars?b=1581889) I'm pretty new to atvs so I'm not sure what to look for such as the rise, pull back, height, and width.

I ride the gbc xrex tire. It is basically a 6 ply razr 2 clone and its super durable. They dont slide well because of all the grip but i can climb anything and ride any mudhole. As for bars i ride a cr mid. and i just buy cheap o steel ones. Hope that helps!

i would suggest the razrs again or the off brand ones at least. they are great tires for the price. I have never really liked holeshots and such as they are quite soft and wear pretty fast compared to regular razrs. the race compounds are pretty soft though such as the mx razrs or something. if you are looking for a lighter tire that will still ride good look at radials like the irazr or something. these will be like the stockers and will ride better. the bias plys are a bit heavier but will hold up to more abuse than the radials will. the more plys the heavier the tire also. the handlebars i suggest tags, renthals or the fly ones. just about every bar is better than the stock one. just get a high bend one if you want it to be about the same height otherwise decide on which one you like best.

I would go with Kenda Knarlys for trail riding but thats just my choose. I ride track so i use itp mxr6 tires in rear and razr mx in front. its really your choose what you like. Are u looking for more ground clearance? go with a 22" rear tires and 23" in the front. There are plenty of cheap handle bars but it depends if u want to run stock 7/8 bars or get oversized 1 1/8 bar which u have to get new handle bar mount. couple of names brands tag, protaper, tuner, renthal.

I have the kenda klaw XCRs and LOVE them. I have 2 rides on them so far and found they slide really well but grip well and are totally predictable.

Rode in the sand and they gripped great and I rode in PA in rockville (there were more rocks than ground!) and they handled it all.

I got the 6ply ones and best of all you can flip your wheels around and one way is for medium to hard surface and ones for soft to medium surfaces!

I really like my razrs! They slide like your on ice and grip. I also liked the holeshot xct, they seemed to grip harder but still slide when you want them to. Both good tires in my book.

I like the ITP Holeshot H-D tires best. they grip better then anything i have tried before in snow, mud, dirt, and some sand. they dont slip on rocks either which is great for trails. these tires are great for pretty much anything, i can wip the rear end around in hard packed dirt when ever i feel like it. As for hills, with the H-D's i have never gotten stuck 3/4s way up. :D

as for bars, i have Fox Racing bars, and find that the angle they are on is a little too much. i had Fly bars on my old 300 and i really liked them.
hope that helps.
Josh.

look at gbc race rex rears and the xrex fronts for $274 shipped from discount tire, these are great tires, this coming from a guy that has had gncc's, razr, and razr 2 combos

I ride Holeshot H-Ds in the front and in my opinion grip like nothing i've ever seen I also ride razr 2s on the back and don't necessarily agree with them being able to slide like your on ice i would like to know how u do that but they do grip pretty damn good
