I was just wondering what others have their kids wearing with their leatt brace and how they like it. I was thinking of the rockgardn but my son is not to keen on the idea. Any help would be great. I really don't want to have to cut a protector to have it work. Has anyone used the rxr air chest protector and their feedback?

Thanks

Rockgardn is really good . Your rider will get used to it .

once you get past putting the rockgardn on the 1st time the kids don't seem to mind wearing them, If you have them wear a jersey over it make sure it is plenty big enough

I have been researching these and trying to pick one out for awhile. I recently purchased the HRP that is made specifically to go with the Leatt and after what I have seen I wouldnt consider anything else. It has a special buckle to make it easier to get on and off with the Leatt and even extra padding on the front and back to help absorb any blows to the protector. IMO it is the only to go for a chest protector with the Leatt.

I agree with the HRP. I just ordered a 2nd one for my younger son.

my niece has the hrp and the shoulder peice of the chest protector never stays in the neck brace , my son uses the thor chest protector with his and it all fits perfect together, I guess its rider preference

The protector and the neck brace are not supposed to overlap, that is how kids get broken collar bones.

I have the Thor and the Rockgarden. We use the Thor in the warm months and the rockgarden in cooler months. Both work great!!!

Tyler uses the Rockgardn, he crashed pretty bad during practice 2 weeks ago and the Rockgardn really protected him well..............Jeff
This pic is right before the crash.

Can someone post a pic or link to the HRP protector please. I want one that we can put a jersey over top. Also, does the rockgarden protect from a crushing type of crash? Like if part of the quad lands on him will it absorb the pressure like the traditional roost protectors do. The traditional type distribute the load across the whole area of the front or rear plastic plate. Hope that makes sense.
My consern w the rockgarden is that it has a gap down the middle of the chest. If it were solid, the plastic could distribute the impact.

We use the EVS "Vex" chest protector. It works perfect with the Leatt.

ROCKGARDN has high density impact foam under hard shell Armor.
Is compatiable for Leatte, Alpenstars, & neck braces and offers excellent spinal protection with impact-dispersing, articulated back slider.
I read a statistic a while back stating around 20% of ATV accidents had spinal related injuries.
Main reason why we wear full armor is that it offers the highest level of protection, looks cool, and makes you look BUFF.

In my opinion, and we have tried many, including the HRP and rockgarden, the RXR air protector is the most comfortable and safest chest protector on the market. It can be worn both on the outer jersey or inside. And unfortunately we have put it to the test. We race for up to 45 minute motos and sometimes in very hot areas. My son wouldnt wear anything else. He likes the mobility it allows, and doesnt have the rigid feel of a hard plastic type. Read this review, it sheds a little light on how it works. Gary at G-force stocks them, and usually has a great price on them. I believe his son wears one as well.

Does the RXR work with the leatt??

work perfectly. The shoulder pads of the RXR fit perfectly in the sides of the leatt, and hold it in place without it moving around.
