i was riding with my friend to his house and he was ridnig behind me. once we got to his house he said soemthing was wrong with my tire. so we looked at it, and two of the bolts were gone. and the other 2 were really loose. where the boltsa go into the rim, are struipped and got wider. what could of caused this? could it be the washers i have on there so the tire doesnt get stuck again? or could it be something else? heres a pic of the rim

How did you almost die? Weve had wheels come totally off like that before. Sometimes the nuts just eat into the aluminum then it starts wigglind around and making the hole bigger.

The reason i almost died, is because i was pinned in fifth gear on a pavement straightaway with my friend on a dirtbike biting my heels... it was crazy, If i get the other 2 bolts is it still rideable with the screw hole still widened on the rim???

That looks like a stock rim...why are you using washers:confused: Flipped rims?

It was probably the washers...I had that happen to one of my ITPs. I think you need to torque the nuts a bit more than factory specs if you're using washers.

Seems like loose wheel nuts to me. Check them often.

That actually is the ITP rims .190, Do you guys think i could still ride it if this time i don't use washers and just torque it down tightly but.. with the same rim?

My ITP has a round center hole:confused: They must make different ones.......I still use mine but it's not quite as bad as yours looks. It MAY be OK of you don't ride hard...but you should really get a new one.

Joe

PS..do have a stock air box lid you want to sell?;)

That looks like stock to me, ITP has a rund center hole, and stock as a four leaf clover look ( what you posted a picture of )

If it's an ITP rim you don't put the tapered edge against the rim..you but the lug nuts on backwards compared to stock...the flat part of the nut goes up against the rim...and dont' use no stupid washer on them either.. This is exactly what your problem is..been there done that...seen it toooooo many times...PS..get a new rim and trash that one..:D

Well i know if you put your lug nuts on with a impact wrench you wouldent have to worrk about bolts coming off wel yeah you would when its time to takem off.. and if you got acorns make sure they are on right.

What is this lol?:chinese:

OK. THE SAME THING HAPPNED TO ME.... i think it was because you put the rim on backwards... the washers are like top hats that are stuck inside the lug holes.. when you put the rim on backwards, the washers were on the inside and didnt serve their purpose. I tka eit thats what happened, i couldent really tell from the picture... But on mine, the washers still stayed on the studs from the hub and i almost died too... I was flyin down a drive way and i saw my rim out in front of me going faster than i was... Hope i helped...

thats happened to me before, except in my case the holes were stretched so far that the metal on one side of the hole broke when i was taking off the rim...get a new one and torque the bolts down good.
