Flywheel Cover Gasket

The local dealer can not get the side cover gasket for about a week. Can you use Hi-Temp Black RTV in place of it. I plan on using the good stuff if I can.

Need to know if this will work. I hate to pay for so much shipping on 1 gasket. The shop called and said it could be even longer before they could get it.

buy a full cometic kit, then you will have a full set for when you want to do a tear down in a year or so lol. steve
