My son broke his drr stock pipe, so I put another pipe on.

The quad on long straights will eventually rev out fine, it seems getting from a stop to full throttle is the problem. He has no power to go up a hill the quad if the rev are not up.

When I lift the back wheels off the ground, so the tires spin free, when we pin the throttle the quad dies. If you ease in to it, the quad will rev out fine.

What pipe did you put on it?If you changed to a different pipe you will have to change the clutch setting also i would think.

to get good info, we will need some from you.
What size DRR?
What size & type carb?
What main and pilot jet?
WHat type of pipe?
What does the plug look like?

With none of this info, I believe you are running lean(too much air in) but that is just a "w.a.g."
