Need more speed!!!!!!!mod predator 90

Need help....I have a 05 predator 90 with a Hetrick kit b, 54mm piston kit,20mm carb and 19/30 gearing...Needs more speed on top end...bigger carb/ gearing?????.
Tires front 19x6x10.. Rear 18x6.5x8...Any input would help...

You need a bigger Carb, you can at least go to a 24mm but I would probably go 28mm.

We used to run a predator 90 years ago that sounds like it was set-up similar to yours. As far as pure top speed, make sure that your clutch is set up properly so that your belt is fully traveling up the variator. If it is than gearing will help. My son's predator ran 53mph at Paducah speedway with a 20 front and a 21 rear sprocket with 15in american racer tires.

Will i loose any bottom end with a 28mm?

We ran a khein 28 round slide for a while but I was never happy with the throttle response. One day after pulling my hair trying to get it jetted properly I took the 24mm Mikuni off my sons KX65 dirt bike and stuck it on our Predator and it was great. Awesome response and plenty of top end as well. Used stock jetting and never had to jet it again.

no, you should actually gain.
Also check your compression, more is better for bottom.

I would suggest you get the Kehin D Slide carb, not the round slide. They seem to have better throttle response and react better to adjustments when tuning.

Do you know which Generation Hetrick pipe you have?
