Rebound adjuster stripped

I made a bone head move and over adjusted the reboud screw on my front shock (stock 2009 MX shock) now the adjuster screw just spins and spins. Is this a throw away shock now or is there something I can do to fix it?

It should be repairable. Basically, it's just a screw with a taper on the end that moves the rebound needle up as it is tightened. However, I forgot to look to see what holds the screw in the clevis after it's loosened all the way, does anyone know this? I would assume your shocks could use a service anyways, so a shop could helicoil the adjuster screw at the same time.
