I have a Suzuki King Quad. I went riding and the wheel almost came off. lost two lug nuts plus the other three were very loose. There was a clinking sound in the right rear, brake side when I took off and sometimes when I applied the brake. The only thing different from the last ride when I had no problem was I added some oil not the 10-40 but just a little of 5-30, to top off the oil, out of the 10-40.. I have the wheel off and have taken off the brake drum and I see no problems the spline looks fine as do the brake pads etc..

Any idea what caused the lug nuts to come loose?

thanks, Tom

Yeah....... Anything can come loose after awhile. Thats why you have a pin through your hub bolt (Or whatever that thing is called). After alot of riding is done to the quad I would just go around and check for any loosening bolts and nuts..... JMO

Klunking noise would definatley be your loose rim smacking the studs bolts and hub.
