2-stroke race story anyone?

well this weekend went pretty good. i was racing on a track i had never been on before. only had 6 laps of practice.

First moto, i have LAST gate pick... Even though i was last, i still got a decent pick. We lined up, the gates dropped. everyone almost killed it. It was me and about 7 other 450's. from mild to wild... So i was fighting a LTR for the holeshot. He ended up getting it, i ended up 3rd out of the first corner. Were jumpin big 70 footers side by side. and we come to the whoops. I slide off the corner after the whoops. DEAD last. So i fight back a couple of spots.

2nd moto, We line up, im pumped. got a good starting gate. So the gates drop. I start out in 5th. 2nd or 3rd corner, right before hte HUGE table top, a guy gets throwin off the track and hits a plastic 55 gallon barrel filled with water. Flips it crazily and lands on the MIDDLE of hte track. RIGHT in front of me... So i dove off the side of the track so i dont hit him and skip the table top, i end up getting back on the track in 4th place. race was going good, i was hitting all the jumps. And a couple guys in front of me got tangled up, i slowed down and passed them, then tore off excited to be in 2nd place. Last lap i could barely hang on. Someone tried to pass me on the last huge finish line jump but couldnt pull me. 2nd place not so bad! ended up 4th place over all.

I was pretty excited to be pushin around 450's with my lil outdated 250!

I think it is awesome, good job! Remember, the 4 strokes are racing with a "handicap" just so they have a chance. It's a good thing they have an engine almost twice your size or otherwise they wouldn't be able to keep up. Think about how different the race would be if you were racing on a 450cc two stroke engine.

20 inch rear tires (soon to be 18)
CT 310 national porting
esr trx 5 pipe
39 pwk
airbox eliminator
Esr 250 ignition
180 compression

I see you run 13-39 gearing. Try using a 14-37 when you go to 18 wheels. The 13-39 will seam like you are revving out quicker and shifting more.

My hammer racing (denny reinhiemer) ported 265 can pull 14/36 with 18 in tires no prob. You will def benefit w a gearing change,and your left hand will thank you lol!

that looks like inman am i right? what class did u run? I wish i could have raced. I had to work and im waiting on a fuel filter for my suzuki. I would have ran C class probably. Track looks so good! Im used to it being terribly torn up and bone dry.

Hey man whats your name? lol. Yea i raced C. Yea its inman. The track is fun as hell now. It sprinkled off and on and that kept track conditions perfect until it poured at the end. you should come on down sometime! Who do you go with to the races?

lol nice. Im Jason Benisch. I havent really raced much or go to any of the races. my quad is usually out in western kansas at my dads, but i have it now for a couple of months. I usually just ride at inman alot. Only guys i've ever been around really are adam goering and ryan harty. we'll have to ride sometime.

thats cool. ya just a pretty much stock LTR. I think me and my cousin are going riding at inman 2moro. he'll either be on his LTR or a YFZR
